2004 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

Awarded 92 points by the Wine Enthusiast (July, 2008), this Ultra-Premium bottling of 2004 Cab is our benchmark blend of this “King of Reds.”

Handcrafted throughout the winemaking process and bottled in honor of the late Gerald E. Shultz, whose legacy lives on in every bottle, this wine was put together by selecting individual barrels from each of the three vineyard blocks—Matthew, Morgan, and Mikayla—named after Gerald’s grandchildren. Opening with big black cherry and hints of anise, this powerfully rich wine has flavors of ripe red fruit, cassis, white chocolate and spice; and a massive, yet velvety and refined, tannin structure, along with nuances of toasty oak and vanillin characters. Enjoy now or cellar 7 to 10 years.
